Fitness For Over 50s
Stay Stronger For Longer
Welcome to our Stronger for Longer over 50’s program designed to help you stay active, healthy, and independent. Whether you’re just beginning or have a regular fitness routine, our exercise classes for seniors offer a safe, supportive environment tailored to your needs. With structured exercises led by our clinicians, you’ll be empowered to move with confidence, protect your joints, and enhance muscle tone, helping you stay stronger for longer.
Why Choose Stronger for Longer?
Our senior fitness program focuses on building strength, balance, fall prevention, cardio, and social connection—key factors that can improve your daily life and support long-term well-being.
With programs either in a circuit-style setting or in a group setting with individual programs, we can cater to everyone. Every class is instructed by a health professional.
Tailored Programs for Every Fitness Level
The Stronger for Longer Class is split into 2 groups: Circuit Style Program and Individual Style Program.
Individual Style Program members are individuals who are new to the program or require an ongoing, tailored program to be performed under the supervision of the Exercise Physiologist. Only 8 people are in this group per class and can receive individualised feedback and continual program progression, allowing someone who has never exercised before to become comfortable with the gym space, perfect technique, and reduce risk of injury whilst being amongst the whole group.
The Circuit Style Program is run by a Physiotherapist, this is mostly free weight exercises and programmed to improve cardio-respiratory fitness, strength, and balance.
Proven Results in Falls Prevention and Strength Improvement
The Stronger for Longer program can demonstrate results that help improve the quality of life over more than 10 years of operating, including significantly increased fall prevention in our training cohort compared to the average and better strength and fitness scores than the average.
Fall Prevention is one of the most important outcomes of the Stronger for Longer Program. We do this by prescribing specific balance exercises that are based on the scientific evidence that is available for helping to improve balance in older adults or the senior population.

After your initial assessment, you may be asked to come back for a second appointment with an Exercise Physiologist. They will then run you through your tailored gym plan that you will perform in the individualised classes, or if you are going into the circuit style they may take you through the common exercises we perform to get you up to speed before your first class if needed. Follow-up appointments are at the discretion of the clinician at the initial assessment.
