In 2016, I am committed to sharing the sport of Powerlifting with more girls, and women.
Why?
The answer is simple. Powerlifting is hands down, the best way for girls and women to be truly intrinsically rewarded in a gym environment. It is an awesome sport. The great thing about powerlifting is that it really is an extension of just having fun, getting stronger every day and then finishing this process off by standing up in front of your family and friends and showing yourself what can be accomplished by hard work.
It is a sport that is truly individual but when you train, you get to train with people just like you, who genuinely care about how you perform but really, all everyone cares about is their own results.
I want to share this sport with more girls and women because I have seen how powerful this sport can be at transforming the mindset, confidence and health of so many girls and women. The sense of pride, accomplishment and genuine happiness at accomplishing something that you once thought not possible is the reason I coach people to do extraordinary things on a powerlifting platform.
So, many people ask, do I have to compete? The answer is no. I can quite comfortably test you in the gym environment, but like I say, why not? I, as a coach do not measure you against any other person that trains with us, or does not train with us. I only measure you against your training program and then what you can achieve on the powerlifting platform.
So, I am looking for 20 girls and women aged from 14 upward who want to give the sport of powerlifting a go, and who are prepared to commit to 3 x 1.5 hour training sessions per week as a minimum for a period of 8 weeks. We will test you at the start, screen you for injury and illness risk and write a personalised program over an 8 week period with a fun, mini-competition with just the group you have trained with over the 8 week period at the end of the 8 week training phase. Then, if you want to compete in a fully sanctioned competition, we can talk to you about how to do that later on!
If this sounds like you, and you want to find out how strong you can be, and how much fun it is to get really strong, then please click the link and register now!
