About me
Hi everyone! My name is Courtney, and I am a physiotherapist here at Vector Health. You can find me across all 3 of our locations in Rockhampton, Yeppoon and Biloela.
A little bit of info about me! I grew up Tannum Sands, just outside of Gladstone. As the oldest of 4 with 3 younger brothers, we all grew up playing every sport under the sun. Most of these at club level, with some at higher representative levels as well. “Jack of all trades, master of none” as my Dad likes to say. The Rocky vs. Gladstone rivalry is still alive and well, and is always a fun conversation with clients when I tell them where I’m from!
Prior to commencing my career as a physiotherapist at the start of 2022, I attended CQ University here in Rocky where I completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) degree. Now working at Vector Health for 3 years, I have enjoyed working across a broad range of physiotherapy expanding m scope of practice and expanding my knowledge with additional study. I now hold certificates in both Level 1 Paediatric Physiotherapy and Western Acupuncture and Dry Needling. Working with kids is a passion of mine, and I love working with a wide variety of ages and paediatric conditions both in the clinic and in the pool for hydrotherapy. I also hold special interests in Women’s Health, orthopaedic rehab and the lymphedema/cancer care space.
I pride myself on my clinic room being a safe space where people of all ages feel comfortable to share their stories and concerns met with someone who listens and is met with empathy, kindness and compassionate care. I strive to empower people with knowledge of the human body and give them an understanding and what their current condition/concern is and what physiotherapy can do help, as well as providing evidence-based practice in my treatment approach.
When I’m not at work, you’ll find me out and about on either the cricket, soccer or AFL field depending on which season it is! On TV, the summer of tennis and cricket is my favourite time of the year, watching all things test cricket, Big Bash and grand slam tennis with the Australian Open! My lifelong dream is to one day go and be a spectator at Wimbledon in the UK.
When I’m not playing or watching sport, I love being Aunty Court to my beautiful niece and spending time with my family and friends, or at the beach with my little bestie – my border collie Tillie.
I have worked across such a wide range of physiotherapy in my career so far and enjoy being able to treat any condition that walks through my clinic door. I look forward to providing ongoing exceptional care to my regular patients, and to meeting and helping lots of new faces in 2025.
